A Review of Tarte’s Maracuja Oil and Make Up Kit

A few months back I ordered Tarte’s Maracuja oil and 8pc makeup kit from QVC. I had heard amazing stories about Maracuja oil and how this amazing product can increase your skin’s texture, tone and moisture level. This product is good for all skin types oily and dry. It offers moisture balance to your skin, minimizes pores and does all of this while not being greasy. QVC was offering an 8 piece makeup kit along with the oil so I ordered it and hoped for the best.

When the products arrived, I was very pleased with the way it arrived nicely packaged with a free gift from Tarte. Tarte included a nice eye primer for the eye shadows that is infused with their amazonian clay. The other items were the Maracuja crease less concealer in light, the beauty & the box eye shadow in Envoke the Smoke eye palette, waterproof black eye liner in Cashmere, maracuja oil divine lip gloss in Peaceful and the Lights, camera, lashes voluminous mascara.

The Maracuja oil reminds me a lot of olive oil and has a very slight odor of vegetable oil. The texture is very oily when you first pump it into your hands. You only need one or two small pumps since this oil is very spreadable and glides on very smoothly. Using the applicator pump that comes with the oil you pump two times until the liquid is in your hands. Once there you rub your hands together to create a slight warmth before you apply it to your face. (Make sure you only use the oil at night since it needs to fully dry and sink into your skin. This is not something you want to use during the day.)

When you wake up the next day your skin is very well moisturized not greasy and very smooth. The Maracuja oil made my skin feel baby soft and I noticed throughout the day that my skin had a nice sheen to it and that over the next few days I no longer saw dryness. My skin appeared to be smoother, softer and more supple in moisture. My makeup glided on smoother and I used less daily moisturizer. My lines that I get around my eyes from caked on makeup or dryness had vanished and I looked younger. After only one full week of use I am totally hooked on this magic maracuja oil. I am very impressed with this product and it delivers what it says it does. I fully recommend this product to anyone who needs to replenish their skin tone, add more moisture or improve your overall skin texture. This is a fabulous anti-aging product that can benefit anyone of any age or skin type. Maracuja oil is in my opinion worth the hype!

The other products that came in the kit were also infused with maracuja oil and amazonian clay. The bouncing blush looks very dark in the case but once applied is much lighter and a very nice peachy color. The lipgloss is a very nice nude pink color but nothing out of the ordinary. The crease less concealer did a nice job in not caking under my eyes and I will continue to use this product but not on a daily basis. The waterproof eyeliner is a very smooth and easy to apply liner in black. Since I do not wear black often I use this only for days that I need a more dramatic eye. The eye shadow palette is a very pretty hue of pink, grey, plum and black. The colors are very pretty with a very nice shimmery silver grey color that is great for use instead of an eyeliner. You can create a lot of different looks with these four colors. The real hidden gem to me in this kit is the lights, camera, lashes mascara that comes in this kit. I cannot say enough about this mascara! This stuff really works and with only one coat. I have received so many compliments about my eyelashes and how long they are. I really love this product and will definitely purchase this one again separately.

My overall review of the Tarte Maracuja Oil 8 piece kit is an 8 out of 10. The products are high quality and very nice in color, grade, packaging and promises made. I highly recommend any of these products but my two favorites are the mascara and the Maracuja oil. QVC no longer offers this kit but below are links to the products you can purchase.
