Batiste Dry Shampoo Review

I recently relocated to a hotter more humid climate area and realized that my hair is not cut out for this hot weather. Being from California, I was in for a severe culture shock of the hot, sticky and humid Texas summer.  My hair started frizzing and worse of all it started sweating and getting a slight odor on my in between washings. I no longer could go two days without washing since I was sweating more and my scalp was becoming oily.

I have seen and even tried a few of the dry shampoos on the market but was very unimpressed with what I have tried. I heard a lot of people talking about this brand Batiste dry shampoo and decided to give it a go. A lot of the Youtube beauty gurus were raving about this product so off to the store I went. I was surprised that it was easily available at HEB and at other stores like Ulta, Target and beauty supply stores. It retails for about $8.00 which is on the lower end of the price spectrum for dry shampoo. I choose the original formula of the Batiste Dry Shampoo and home I went.

Batiste Dry Shampoo is a waterless hair shampoo system that cleans, refreshes, removes oil and grease but offers your hair body and texture. Batiste has a nice clean scent and comes in a variety of products original, hint of color for blondes and brunettes. The directions are pretty simple to follow, “Shake can vigorously,Spray evenly over hair, massage into scalp with fingertips, let sit a few moments and brush out preferably using a natural bristle brush”. The can also says to make sure you spray a few inches from your head for best results.

I first tried the Batiste Dry Shampoo on a day that was very hot and I was cleaning around the house. My hair was a little damp with sweat in the back scalp area so I decided to spray the dry shampoo there to see if it dried up the oil. To my surprise it totally absorbed the sweat oil from my hair! It smelled really good and I felt an instant fresh drying feeling on the back of my scalp. I then applied it to the front and sides of my hair followed by a light massaging of the product into my scalp. The product quickly dissolved into my skin leaving no noticeable white residue. I was instantly pleased and my hair was shinny and very bouncy. I had volume and shine with a nice clean scent.I used the Batiste dry shampoo the following morning and really loved the way my hair looked and smelled. I feel this dry shampoo is worth every penny and is a much needed product for anyone on the go. I especially recommend this product to anyone who lives in hot humid climates or has issues with an oily scalp. This product would also be great to take to the gym to clean up quickly after a work out. I give this product a full two thumbs up!

I highly recommend this dry shampoo to anyone who wants a quick and easy way to clean their hair without having to wash it. Have you tried Batiste Dry Shampoo? Share your experience with a comment below and tell me how you use the product.
