The past few years have been a very tough time on all of us to say the least. Everywhere you look people are losing their jobs, homes and spending less and less money on things that are not a necessity. Downsizing has become the new word where in the past upgrade or “supersize me”was all the craze. So how do you downsize your life to a more manageable life but also still have your fun and style?
The first thing you want to do when downsizing your life is to first establish what your monthly expenses are, your monthly income and what you have left over after your bills are paid. If you are like most people this will be a very shocking and painful experience due to the fact you may owe more than you make or live beyond your means. This step is important so you can set up a realistic budget and know where you are in terms of debt and expenses.
Once you have set up a budget you should evaluate what essentials are staying and what you can downsize or get rid of. This would be your big staples like your house, car, cell phone, cable etc. These are things you mostly need but can possibly find cheaper solutions or plans or even get rid of all together.
