Maybelline BB Cream Product Review

Everywhere I looked this summer all I saw or heard about was this new beauty craze the BB cream. This product has been around a long time in Europe and Asia as a beauty secret and now it has finally arrived in North America. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical to try this new BB cream but decided to investigate this new wonder product.

It seems every brand out there has jumped on this BB cream bandwagon with many variances in price and product promises. The jest of this BB cream is the fact that it is many products rolled into one. BB stands for “blemish balm or blemish base” basically it performs like a concealer, moisturizer, primer, foundation, and sunblock all in one product.

BB Cream Product Review')">

Shopping through a local drugstore I happened upon Maybelline BB cream I decided the $11.99 price tag and the fact it was offered by Maybelline made it an easy choice for me. I have to admit I had little expectations being that I tend to have dry skin with a bit of an oily tee zone.Being over 35 I was afraid of this product making me look older or having this dry product cake on my face. So once home I decided to add this new wonder cream to my daily routine.

I started my daily routine as normal, wash face, apply eye cream, moisturizer and then Maybelline BB cream to my face. When I opened the BB cream and applied it to my fingers I saw immediately the light tinted color and applied it to my face. It went on very smooth like velvet and just glided on over my face. It did have a very light tacky texture to it but I noticed that my face seemed less blotchy and more even toned. I loved the way it looked and felt on my skin instantly. It felt like a tinted moisturizer/ face primer in one! I applied my Maybelline Age Rewind over it and they complimented each other nicely.  There was no caking and my makeup looked so smooth with the BB cream on underneath.

This is a really good product for the money and results in my opinion. You can wear under your makeup and have it go on smoother, or you can wear alone as well. I can see wearing this over my face with some light lip gloss and mascara and go to the gym or run errands. The added bonus of sunblock SPF 30 was priceless as my current moisturizer does not have sunscreen and this does not hurt or make my eyes water.

I highly recommend this product with a complete two thumbs up. I will definitely be buying this product again.  For the results that this product delivers, the price and that fact it is easily available in many shades and stores. The Maybelline BB cream is a sure winner and great product to add to your daily routine.

The Maybelline BB cream can be found in most drug stores like CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Target and online.
