The Magic by Rhonda Byrne (Author of the Secret)- Day 1 Count Your Blessings

The Magic Hello everyone, today I am embarking on a new and exciting journey of self-awareness. I am starting the 28 day program called “The Magic” by Rhonda Byrne. Rhonda is one of the founders of the book the Secret and has written a new book called the Magic.

The Magic is based on the principle of gratitude and how if you are not thankful for what you have or have received in the past, you will not be able to receive in your future. I strongly believe in this mantra of being thankful and grateful for your blessings. So many times we take things for granted in our lives and then when it is gone realize too late what we had.

So being in a position of reflection, I came upon this book I purchased a few years ago and never really applied the science behind it. So I decided that this was the perfect time in my life to start a positive journey of self-reflection and to manifest positive gratitude into my life.

I will be chronicling the 28 day process here on my blog as well as sharing the daily lessons with you. I will also include video tutorials so you can follow along with me and join me if you would like to manifest happiness, gratitude and abundance into your life.

This program is designed to be over 28 consecutive days and has practices that are either morning, afternoon or night. If you do not want to do all 28 you can pick and choose one but do it three days or an entire week for a full effect of the magic. So without further ado here is magic practice for day 1, Count Your Blessings.

Magical Practice Day 1-Count Your Blessings

1.) First thing in the morning make a list of ten blessings in your life that you are grateful for.

2.) Write why you are grateful for each blessing.

3.) Go back and read your list, either in your mind or out load. When you are done saying them out loud, at the end of each one say the magic words Thank You three times. Make sure you reflect and feel the gratitude for each blessing. Repeat for each one of the blessings.

4.) Repeat the first three steps of this magical practice every morning for the next 27 days.

5.) Read tomorrow’s magical practice today.

I would like to share with you how I manifested my dream job using the law of attraction. After I completed my postgraduate studies, I got a job that I disliked very much at a large biopharmaceutical company. Because of the fact that it took me 8 months to get that job, it was somewhat precious. However after one year, I decided that I was not going to do something I have no passion in any longer and took the leap of faith. I quit without any other job lined up. I am passionate about people development and decided that my next career will be in the Human Resources field. However, I could not find a suitable HR position that offered me the scope that I was looking for and challenges that I am capable of. I grew frustrated and began to apply aimlessly to any openings just for the sake of being employed. Finally at the 11 month of my unemployment, I had had enough! I decided there and then that I WILL be employed in a job that I am passionate in and that it will be abroad. And that this is going to happen NOW! I come from a developing country in South East Asia and I have always desired to work and live abroad. A couple of days later I came across my dream job. It was a HR trainee programme and it contained my dream scope – talent management, performance management, employee engagement etc. And it was based in Germany. I did not have an academic background in HR and the advertisement indicated that candidates without this background will need to have at least had done an internship in HR. I happened to have done an internship in HR in a large company before I furthered my studies. It was also a requirement that applicants had lived abroad either for studies or work. I did my postgraduate studies in the UK. I knew there and then that the Universe had created this job for me. I applied to it and spent each day after that thanking the Universe for giving me the job. I believed with all my heart that the job is mine. I wrote daily gratitude journal entries. I made a mock offer letter, stated my salary in it and emailed it to myself. I made a fake name card and looked at it everyday. I changed the wallpaper of my phone to the picture of the company building. I even changed to wallpaper of my laptop to that of a prominent icon in the city the position is based in. I pretended to send text messages to my friends telling them I am offered my dream job in Germany. Then 2 weeks after the closing date of the application, I received a call from the HR person of that company, inviting me to the Assessment Centre in Germany. I was ecstatic!! I just knew with all my heart that this job was mine. Everything went on so smoothly at the Assessment Centre and based on the group assessments, I could tell that I was the best candidate. The interview went amazingly well too. Guess what? I got the job!!! I attracted my dream job using the law of attraction in a dream country too! All this happened just recently and I am starting work on the 1st December 2014. I am now using the power within me to fulfil all my other wishes.
