The Magic by Rhonda Byrne (Author of the Secret) – Day 6 Works Like Magic

The Magic In today’s chapter of the Magic Works Like Magic, the book discusses the importance of being grateful for what we have in terms of our career or job.

Many times, especially in today’s tough job market we are given jobs that are maybe less than desirable or pay less etc. So we complain or always seem unhappy and unappreciative but many people are without work. How many people would line up and take your job in a heartbeat? The Steady paycheck coming in is something that a lot of people right now do not have and would love nothing more than to be able to have money for their families.

The chapter Works Like Magic, also discusses taking pride in our work and doing our best everyday. By doing our best and having appreciation we will continue to have work and increase our abundance within our work in terms of promotions or the ability to get better jobs with our increased experience or work ethic etc.

By showing gratitude for our work whether it is something small like, they have good coffee for me everyday to I love my co-workers or my commute is only 15 minutes. Finding ways to be grateful even if the job or your career is not where you want it to be can lead you to moving up or moving on to something better.

Below are the lesson plans from the Magic Day 6- Works Like Magic:

1.) Repeat steps one to three of Magic Practice number 1- Count Your Blessings. Write down ten blessings that you are grateful for, write why you are grateful for each one. Say the magic words “thank you” three times after each one as you read them.
2.) While at work imagine you have an invisible manager following you around taking notes every time you find something to be grateful for at work.
3.) Have your manager takes notes every time you find something to be grateful for. Find something to be grateful and say ” I am so grateful for ____________ and feel the gratitude as much as you can.
4.) Just before you go to sleep find your magic rock, hold it in your hands and think of the best thing that happened to you that day.

Not sure how this works when a person isn’t employed?…Do you imagine being at work then imagine the rest?

Hey there Kasey, I hear you on this one lol. I was actually unemployed during the time I started the Magic. I was out of work for six months and was very depressed so I started the Magic on April 1. By May 2nd I started a job which I am still at currently.

I would just imagine being at a job that I loved and feeling good about myself and my work. I used past experiences and just thought of the perfect work situation. I know some of the lessons are hard to do but just think positively and use your imagination there are no rules. Every lesson can be done how you want to do them, thank you for stopping by my blog and let me know how you are doing.
